Last week, my friend Julie was invited to shoot with Astri Welas for Ngulik on Trans TV. Julie was super excited about the opportunity especially since it meant she would get to meet a hilarious actress like Astri Welas. She was so happy that she asked me to go along with her so I was there the whole time the shooting took place. It was awesome! :-)

This reality talk show is broadcasted on Trans TV and presents Astri Welas as its host. It could take place anywhere and at anytime, therefore the location of the shoot always changes according to the theme, guest star and sources. This week it happened to take place in Bali :-)

The shoot began with Astri Welas shopping at our beloved flagship store, Surfer Girl 138 jl. Legian, where she suddenly meets Julie.

Astri wanted to learn how to surf at Kuta beach, so Julie was more than happy to take  her there on her motorcycle. I could see Astri was super enthusiastic as she rode with Julie along the famous Legian street on the way to the beach.

Once they reached Kuta beach, Julie taught Astri some basic surfing techniques that are needed to learn how to surf for the first time such as; paddling, and how to stand up on the surfboard. After minutes of warming up and practicing, Julie took Astri into the water.

It was difficult for Astri in the beginning to stand up on the surfboard. but after several attempts, she finally made it and she was thrilled! :-)

While the camera kept rolling, it was then Julies chance to show her surfing skills. Unfortunately the waves weren’t that good that day so it was hard to catch a decent wave but Julie made it look awesome fun anyway :-)

Before we knew it the shooting was over and with the sun about to set the crew called it a day, but not before cheers where heard all around for how successful the shoot had been :-)

Julie and I couldn’t wait to see the outcome, and how it would look  on TV!
