Hi Girls^^ last Saturday was an awesome day at Surfer Girl Legian. Not only we had Surfer Girl mannequin live show but also we got a visit from super special guests at Jungle Juice. Shaggy Dog, one of the famous local bands in Indonesia came for a visit and speaks their campaign as the representative of C.O.P (Centre for Orangutan Protection), which is a social organization to protect the life of orangutan in Indonesia.

Band that started on June 1, 1997 got the trust from C.O.P to spread the campaign of orangutan protection and conservation to the people, especially the teenagers. Surfer Girl got the chance to do a little bit interviews about their super awesome mission.

Band from Jogja motored by Heru, Richard, Raymond, Bandizt, Lilik and Yoyok is very optimist for the life of orangutan in Indonesia if all of the people willing to help to protect and conserve Indonesian forests as the habitat of orangutan. They think that the condition if the orangutan is very bad and the number of orangutan sharply decreased each year because human keep destroying the forest and turn it into oil forest for big industries that absorbed so much water and create dryness and flood as the result of natural destruction.

Heru the vocalist told a story about this orangutan who is very happy when he got a new orangutan as the new member the zoo. He hugs his new friend and never wants to let go because he is so lonely before and never has any friend. It is incredible to know that orangutan also has exactly the same feeling as human. In Jogja, there is also a social place to treat the sick orangutan and put them back in their real habitat in the forest when they get better.

Shaggy Dog asks us to always Go Green and starts the action NOW not later to protect and conserve the forest. They thought if all of the forest being cut down and there is no forest left for human, then big disaster will come and the damage will be very big.
So, now you know how important it is to protect the nature and orangutan. If you want to join the mission, you can start the campaign with best friends or give donation to social organization for orangutan conservation.
